I have a headache. I’m seeing an uptick in ukulele postings on the internet. I read too many of the wrong feeds. I have things to say that are perhaps politically unsound about the industry, and need a long weekend staring at rocks or something.
I don’t want a Kindle but I think book worship is one of my greatest sins and should probably find a way to start reading in a less environmentally and fetishistic format.
I’ve read a very good paper recently in that it attempts to bring some rigor to the whole “cloud” idea: Above the Clouds: A Berkeley View of Cloud Computing. I think it will not prevent the overuse of the term.
I don’t think creativity is dead in advertising, but I question the relatively recent, relatively short worship of it as a distinct practice. Wool gathering, craftless and ‘idea generating’. Worry that all signs point to working with your hands as a good way of actually gettin’ ‘er done and also point to that not being valued ‘traditionally’ or somesuch…
You should be able to build a thing, not the thing, a thing. You should say “How?” as much as “Shall”…
